Evangelical Presbyterian Church(PCA)

VISION STATEMENT

In order to realize the mission the members of Evangelical Presbyterian Church will pray to commit themselves to serving the Lord sacrificially, giving of their time, tithes and talents as priests of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Cape Coral area. Working under the leadership of elected elders and deacons they will work and pray to build the congregation to 500 members and maximize the use of the facilities; to become a hub for our community in order to plant daughter congregations (including Hispanic congregations) in the region by sending out trained church-planting teams of 30-50 E.P.C. members who will work and pray to reproduce like-minded congregations.

Evangelical Presbyterian Church and her daughter congregations will work and pray to strengthen the witness of Christian teachers, politicians, civic leaders, social workers and men and women of all vocations so that the principles and moral values of the Word of God may be applied in the public square. E.P.C. desires to nurture a new generation of God-fearing adults through Christian Education with special emphasis on expanding the church day school, Providence Christian School, to hold 400 students K4,8th grade, to emphasize a biblical world and life view curriculum. Though Christian love and civility will always be demonstrated to those of religious diversity, the truth of living by Grace through faith in Christ alone, as summarized in Reformation theology, will never be denied.

Our congregation is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). The PCA was founded in 1973 in response to the need for a scriptural, evangelical and reformed witness to Christ. It has established as its top priorities to be biblical in both its government and doctrine and committed to evangelism, Christian Education, and the equipping of Christians for ministry.

Church Government: EPC functions under the Presbyterian, or representative form of church government. The officers of the church are elders, elected by the congregation. The Senior Minister, Associate Ministers, and ruling elders comprise the Session, and are responsible for the governance and spiritual oversight of the church.
